Privacy Policy

Effective September 29, 2026

Short version: Task Me has no servers and collects nothing. When you tap send, your phone asks Gmail to email the note from you to you. Your Google sign-in is stored only on your device.

What Task Me is

Task Me is an iOS app that emails notes to yourself using your own Gmail account. It's made by Christopher Sexton ("we"). This policy covers the Task Me app, its share extension, its Siri and Shortcuts action, and this website.

Information from your Google account

When you choose "Sign in with Google", Google asks you to grant Task Me:

Task Me uses these only to send the notes you write to your own address. It never sends to anyone else, never reads your mail, and never uses your data for advertising, analytics, or training AI models.

Your notes

The text you type or share goes straight from your device to Google's Gmail service over an encrypted connection, and arrives as an email in your inbox. It doesn't pass through, and isn't stored on, any server we run. We don't have one. An unsent draft stays on your device so it isn't lost if you leave the app.

Where your data is stored

What we collect

Nothing. Task Me has no accounts, analytics, tracking, advertising, or crash-reporting services, and it shares no data with third parties. This website is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies and runs no scripts; the web host may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and pages requested.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Task Me's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Removing access and deleting data

Children

Task Me isn't directed at children under 13 and collects no information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
