Terms of Service

Effective October 2, 2026

Short version: Dividers is a calculator. It comes as-is. Measure twice before you cut.

Agreement

These terms cover the Dividers app for iPhone, iPad and Mac, and this website (together, "Dividers"). Dividers is made by Christopher Sexton ("we", "us"). By using Dividers, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

What Dividers does

Dividers performs fraction arithmetic, rounds results to shop increments, and suggests proportions such as the golden ratio. It runs entirely on your device and needs no account or internet connection.

Check your measurements

Dividers is a planning aid. Golden-ratio and proportion results involve irrational numbers and are rounded for display, and any rounded result is approximate by design. You're responsible for checking measurements before you cut, build or buy materials. Wood is expensive; double-check anyway.

Changes and availability

We may update, change or stop offering Dividers, in whole or in part, at any time.

No warranty

Dividers is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of materials, data or profits, arising from your use of Dividers. Our total liability for any claim relating to Dividers is limited to the amount you paid for Dividers in the 12 months before the claim.

Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for Dividers or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. Your use of the app is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date. Continuing to use Dividers after that means you accept the updated terms.
